While some people only dream of success others but few wake up and work hard for it, defying all odds, Tariq Ahmad Ganai of Sheeri- the only candidate among thousands make it to get selected as Patwari a single post for Baramulla district advertised in 2015.
Growing up in a household where the sole bread earner is his father a poor tailor master, Tariq’s family lives from hand to mouth, it was not easy for him to get through as he has to mange domestic chores to provide helping hand to his mother for he has no sister.
“Thanks to Almighty Allah for my success, it is dream come true as I was able translate my dream into reality,” said Ganai who wants to see smile on his parents face by getting a government.
“All the extra hours ,all the sacrifices, all the sleepless nights and early morning wake ups have finally paid off,” he added.
Tariq has been working as a teacher in private school to provide support to his family besides study to crack the various exams.
” I could not get selected as teacher but I hope I will make it to become Patwari. After selection in provisional list, all the candidates were supposed to appear in Urdu exam, luckily i qualified,” Tariq added.
He said that there was only one post in RBA category and candidates were in thousands but I made it.
“It is well said that when you hope for the best, the best comes and to them who await failure, failure comes to their hope but as for me,I hoped for success, worked for it without sitting back and it came, “Tariq said
Ganai has proved that those who have firm determination can achieve success despite all odds.
” My parents and brother, a garage hand, supported me throughout, without which this would have been impossible to achieve. I am indebted to them,” an emotional Ganai said as his mother and other relatives hugged him.
