Sopore, 28 July 2023: On 27 July at about 1900 hours, Police party of Police Station Tarzoo on a specific information regarding presence of gamblers at Ningli Nursery.
Acting upon the information Police Party of Police Station Tarzoo rushed towards the spot and on noticing the police party gamblers tried to flee from the spot but the alert police party chased them and we’re apprehended tactfully.
- Ishfaq Ahmad Malla S/O Ghulam Nabi R/O Mahrajpora Sopore, 2. Abdul Rashid Malik S/O Muhammad Sultan R/O Dogliteng Sopore, 3. Javaid Ahmad Khanday S/O Ghulam Mohiudin R/O Mahrajpora Sopore, 4. Shahzad Ahmad Shah S/O Nazir Ahmad R/O Tulibal Sopore and 5. Sajad Ahmad Parray S/O Ghulam Muhammad R/O Tulibal Sopore.
Playing cards alongwith stake money of ₹ 22500/- were recovered from them.
Case FIR No. 66 under relevant sections of Gambling Act registered in Police Station Tarzoo and investigation taken up.
