RAMBAN, OCT 26: Additional Deputy Commissioner, Ramban, Harbans Sharma today flagged off ‘Amrit Kalash’ containing the holy soil of the district to Jammu which shall further travel to the National Capital for becoming a part of Amrit Vatika in National Capital, Dehli.
The Amrit Kalash were received by the District Administration Ramban on October 22 amid grand celebrations from all the 11-blocks and 3-MCs as part of the 2nd phase of “Meri Maati Mera Desh” (MMMD) campaign.
The ADC said that these pots, beautifully decorated and representing 11 blocks and Municipal Council Ramban and Municipal Committees of Banihal and Batote, were ceremoniously brought together at Ramban representing the holy soil of the motherland from District Ramban.
Among other CPO, Dr Kasturi Lal, ACD, Ashok Katoch, GM DIC, Ravinder Anand, Dy. DEO, Lal Chand, CMO, CAO, AD Fisheries, ARTO, DSWO, AD CA&CS, Executive Engineer PWD, Tehsidar Ramban and various other senior officers were also present on the occasion.
