SRINAGAR, DEC 13: Bollywood superstar Akshay Kumar, known for his passion for sports, has ventured into cricket ownership by acquiring the Srinagar franchise in the upcoming Indian Street Premier League (ISPL).
The actor shared the exciting news with his fans on Instagram, expressing his enthusiasm for this new sporting chapter.
“From cinema to the stadium! Proud to announce that I will be coming to @ispl_t10 as a Team Owner of Srinagar (Jammu & Kashmir). A chance to play in my team awaits,” Akshay posted.
The ISPL, a tennis ball T10 cricket event, is scheduled to captivate fans from March 2 to March 9, 2024. Akshay Kumar sees this tournament as a potential game-changer in the cricketing world and eagerly anticipates being at the forefront of this unique sporting endeavor.
In the cinematic realm, Akshay Kumar is gearing up for ‘Bade Miyan Chote Miyan,’ where he shares the screen with Tiger Shroff. Directed by Ali Abbas Zafar, the film also features Prithviraj Sukumaran and Sonakshi Sinha in lead roles. Scheduled for an Eid 2024 release, the makers plan to unveil the teaser on Republic Day 2024. The film has been shot across captivating locales in Scotland, London, India, and the UAE.
