Amidst pre-poll alliance, Omar targets former PCC Chief, calls him ‘frustrated’

Srinagar, Sep 18: National Conference (NC) Vice President Omar Abdullah on Wednesday lashed out at the former Pradesh Congress Committee (PCC) Chief, Vikar Rasool Wani, saying that he has got ‘frustrated’.
Omar while speaking to the reporters has said that the people speak anything in frustration. “He (Wani) has got frustrated. He should wait till the results are out,” Omar said while replying to a query over Viklar Rasool’s remarks against NC workers.

He added that his party (Congress) has already rejected his statements and he has faced the wrath of the party’s incumbent chief, Tariq Hameed Karra through the statement.
The statement comes at a time when the two parties including NC and Congress have forged a pre-poll alliance in Jammu and Kashmir for the ongoing three-phased assembly elections.
Furthermore, Omar while reacting to Lieutenant Governor’s statement over Jamaat-e-Islami, said that they are fighting as independent candidates against them (NC) as the organization they are affiliated with has already been banned. “When we don’t have any objection against their decision of joining the electoral fray then why has LG woken up today?”
Also, Omar said that the President of Awami Ittehad Party (AIP) president in an interview has clearly mentioned that his party will join hands with BJP if the need arises.”It is good that Er Rashid has uttered what we have been saying. He has admitted that the doors of his party will remain of BJP if they would be in need of forming a government with its support,” Omar said.
The former chief minister of erstwhile Jammu and Kashmir State has said that they have joined the electoral fray with an aim to divide the votes.
