Arbaaz answered a few exclusive questions with Lipika Varma about his support to friends, his acting and directorial future projects, about his son Arhaan Khan who was seen in his latest Podcast show ,”Dumb Biryani “, and also talks about ,” The Angry men” Salim Javed ‘s series and more-

The,” Khan-Daan” is known for extending their support to all their friends in their ventures, especially those belonging to the glitz and glamour world. In a bid to encourage friends this time Arbaaz made time to be present at the launch of a new web series “Can’t Kill Me “alongside the launch of the poster of the film song “Banarasi Paan” through ,”20 One Entertainment Limited.

Elaborate -How do you find time to support your friends-?
They are launching their new web show,” Can’t Kill Me” through Sameer Malik’s production house,” 20 One Entertainment”. Sameer Malik has already completed almost 4 /5 series and has multiple projects in the pipeline with ambitious plans for the future. And Hanif Bhai is a friend of mine so I have come to support all of them. I have loads of admiration for Malik’s commitment to delivering exceptional content through this new venture. They are very closely acquainted with us so we need to support them. Fortunately, today I was free so I could attend their function.’
Reminiscing about their own humble beginnings he added,” We all started once as newcomers and therefore we believe in encouraging people who are starting their own ventures into web series. If one can support them- why not. Also, they are in the same line so we need to come forward in their support wholeheartedly.
What’s up with Arbaaz on the acting and direction front?
Well! On my acting front there is one web show which has turned out well and will be releasing very soon. I’m in the second season, not a very big part. It’s just the continuation from the first season. Apart from that, one film just released down South Shivam, I’m working on two more films, yet untitled, which will go on floors soon. Another two films that I am working on are under my production house. Yes, it’s in Hindi. The scripting is going on at a blitzKrieg speed. I’m close to completing the first draft. Out of these two- one script is already completed. We are planning for narration and it will happen soon. In the next 2 or 3 months it will be ready for production probably at the end of this year or beginning of the next year we shall announce and go on the floors.
Your son Arhaan hosted his Podcast show titled,”Dumb Biryani”.Which sphere of filmmaking is he inclined to?
The show was a little different, his approach was fine. Right now, he is just developing himself and learning things as well honing his skills in different spheres of filmmaking. He is also working on himself, especially, on his physical appearance. He is specially working on his language, his diction. Without any iota of doubt, he is set to join this world of glitz and glamour only. Probably, he will make his foray into acting. But, since it’s just his early humble beginnings. I feel there is still a little time for him to be able to go ahead.
About Salim-Javed the writer duo seen together promoting,” The Angry Men” it’s sort of rejuvenation of the two seen together on the same platform promoting it. Will we see them penning a script together in the near future?
it’s really a good rejuvenation of Salim -Javed seen on the same platform together after ages. It’s a great tribute to these great writers who have done such excellent work in their career. They are responsible for making a landscape change in Indian film makings and especially writing. The fact that a series, which is done with the right intent and both the families joining hands together is a huge tribute to their father’s in their own way from their side [Akhtar family]and our [Khan family] side. I think, people who got to know a lot of things about them as a personality, apart from the body of work they have done which is praiseworthy.
All praises for the personalities of the duo doyen Salim Javed he goes on to add, “Through their personality we also come to know how to survive in this industry and being convinced about your work. Also, how you stand by for your work. Also, taking decisions you make-All this is a learning experience for all of us. It’s not just an explanation of their coming in this era and doing well but about them as people. This has resonated with the junta audience.
Will -Salim -Javed come together to write something new?
I’m sure they would love to come together once again. Having said that, I can’t commit whether it will happen or not. However, time will tell. They surely have that [writing]intent.
Arbaaz remained tight lipped about his new beginnings- second marriage when asked about it he just said .’I’m absolutely fine with my new beginnings….. I’m good on my personal front…thank you.
