Ashok Pandey to Lead BSPS Again, Dr. Naveen Anand Joshi Appointed General Secretary

Oath-Taking Ceremony Held in Koderma, Jharkhand

New Delhi/Koderma: The new National Executive Committee of the country’s largest journalists’ organization, Bharati Shramjeevi Patrakar Sangh, for the term 2025–27 has been announced as per the BSPS Union Constitution. In this new committee, senior journalist from Uttar Pradesh and Chief Editor of Dainik Vishvavarta, Ashok Pandey, has been elected as the National President, while Dr. Naveen Anand Joshi, Local Editor of Dainik Loksatya in Madhya Pradesh, has been appointed as the National General Secretary.

Other major appointments in the national executive include Ms. S. S. Nasreen from West Bengal as Treasurer, Girdhar Sharma from Uttarakhand as Organization Secretary. Senior journalist Suresh S. Unnithan from Kerala and Raghvendra Mishra from Andhra Pradesh have been given responsibility as National Vice Presidents.

For the position of National Secretary, appointments include Chandan Mishra (Jharkhand), P. Thangamani (Tamil Nadu), Srikant Kanitkar (Karnataka), and Mrs. Roma Malhotra (Madhya Pradesh). Shibu Nigam and Jayad Bajpai from Uttar Pradesh have been appointed as Joint Secretaries.

A grand oath-taking ceremony was held in Koderma, Jharkhand, where the newly constituted executive members took the oath of office and secrecy. During the meeting, responsibilities for various states were distributed as follows:

Himachal Pradesh – Dr. Arun Saxena (MP State President)The founder of the association, Shahnawaz Hasan, has been appointed as the Chairman of the Cooperative Society established for the welfare of journalists. He will form the board of directors for the multiple cooperatives. Additionally, Abhay Surana (MP) has been appointed as National Media Incharge, Sanjeev Sameer (Jharkhand) as Assistant Media Incharge, Sanjeev Jaiswal (Bihar) as National Spokesperson, and Kamal Alok Prasad (MP) as Assistant Spokesperson.

For overseeing legal affairs of the organization, Jagdish Saluja, Anuj Pandey, and Kushal Pal Singh Chauhan have been named as Legal Incharges.

On this occasion, newly elected President Ashok Pandey stated that the organization is committed to empowering the voice of journalists and protecting their rights.
