Baramulla Police Commemorates 150 Years of “Vande Mataram”; Week-Long Celebrations across the District from 7th to 14th November Commence at DPL Baramulla

Baramulla, November 07, 2025: Baramulla Police today organized a commemorative event at District Police Lines (DPL) Baramulla to mark 150 years of the patriotic song “Vande Mataram.” The event also marked the beginning of a week-long series of patriotic programmes scheduled to be held across the district from 7th to 14th November 2025.

The inaugural ceremony featured impressive performances by the Police Pipe Band and witnessed enthusiastic participation of officers and officials from Baramulla Police and CRPF 53 Battalion. Participants presented stirring patriotic tunes and renditions that resonated with the spirit of nationalism and unity, paying heartfelt tribute to the legacy of this timeless song.

As part of the week-long celebrations, similar events will be organized across all sub-divisions of the district—including Headquarters Baramulla, Tangmarg, Pattan, Kreeri, and Uri. These programmes will feature patriotic songs, band performances, and community participation aimed at evoking patriotic fervour and further strengthening police-public relations.

Officers from Police and CRPF highlighted the historical and cultural significance of “Vande Mataram,” which continues to inspire generations with its enduring message of devotion, sacrifice, and love for the motherland.
