Party’s Manifesto committee visits Pulwama, gets suggestions
Srinagar, Aug 12: The Jammu and Kashmir unit of Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) has commenced the preparations to come up with what they termed as people-friendly manifesto for the upcoming assembly polls in the Union Territory.
Sources privy to the development told Morning Kashmir that the leaders from the J&K unit of BJP visited multiple places to hear the public issues that will be taken forward to add in the manifesto.
Like the other parts, the Kashmir based leaders from the party here have visited Pulwama area today to hear the public issues.
It has been learnt that BJP’s manifesto committee interacted with the 36-member delegations in Pulwama district today.
According to the party, the party got the feedback and suggestions from the delegation that will be forwarded to party headquarters so that the suggestions will be incorporated in the final manifesto.
Pertinently, several other parties have also geared up to finalize their election manifesto for the assembly polls.
Notably, the Election Commission while addressing the media persons after wrapping up their two-day visit had said that it was an apt time to hold elections in J&K, which has been without an elected government for the last six years.
The Chief Election Commissioner (CEC), Rajiv Kumar had said that the exact dates for the polls will be announced soon.
