Block Diwas program to address Community Concerns held at Soin Sadanar, Danghiwcha Sopore

BARAMULLA, FEB 07 : In an ongoing commitment to proactive governance and community welfare, Additional Deputy Commissioner (ADC) Sopore, Shabir Ahmad Raina today presided over a Block Diwas program held today at Soin Sadanar, Dangiwacha, Sopore.
The Block Diwas program, aimed at facilitating direct dialogue between the administration and the community, saw the participation of DDC Member, Kandi Rafiabad, sectoral officers, including Tehsildar Dangiwacha, and Block Development Officer, Kandi, besides significant turnout of public from neighboring villages.

Various delegations representing villages and communities seized the opportunity to present a spectrum of demands, ranging from crucial infrastructure improvements such as roads, water supply, electricity, irrigation, and forest management, to pressing issues concerning rural development schemes like PMGSY.
Throughout the event, attendees voiced concerns about access to potable drinking water, the urgent need for school upgrades, the establishment of health centers, and the enhancement of inner road networks. ADC Sopore, in a proactive and attentive manner, engaged with participants and promptly addressed numerous grievances and developmental challenges on the spot.
Assurances were given to prioritize and expedite the resolution of remaining demands by liaising with the relevant departments. The administration pledged to undertake all necessary measures in the near future to address the community’s concerns comprehensively.
The Block Diwas program received resounding acclaim from the public, who expressed jubilation over the swift resolution of many longstanding issues and confidence that outstanding matters would be resolved expeditiously.
Notably, the administration’s commitment to conducting such programs, even amidst challenging weather conditions with snow still lining the roadsides, was lauded by residents as a testament to the administration’s unwavering dedication to reaching even the most remote corners of the region.
