Srinagar, February 05: After three days, the authorities successfully recovered the body of a man who was in the e-rickshaw that plunged into the Jhelum River near the Lasjan bridge, as confirmed by officials on Monday.
According to a statement from an official to the news agency Kashmir News Observer, exhaustive efforts by rescue teams led to the retrieval of the body today. The deceased has been identified as Mukhtar Ahmad Sheikh, a resident of Batmaloo in Srinagar.
The incident occurred on Saturday when an e-rickshaw fell into the Jhelum near the Lasjan bridge. Subsequently, a search and rescue operation was initiated.(KNO)
