SRINAGAR APRIL : 14 The Postgradute Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology Government Medical College (GMC) Srinagar successfully organized a one-day Continuing Medical Education (CME) programme on the theme ‘Hope after Loss’ focusing on the “Challenges And Clinical Management Of Recurrent Pregnancy Loss (RPL)
Prof. (Dr) Syed Masuma Rizvi, Head of the Department, underlined the importance of such academic engagements in empowering young doctors and promoting collaborative strategies to address the emotional and medical complexities of RPL.
The sessions were chaired by eminent specialists such as Prof. Shahida Mufti, Prof. Syed Masuma Rizvi, Prof. S.M. Saleem Khan, Prof. Shagufta Rather, Prof. Rakesh Koul, Prof. Hina Bashir Prof. Nighat Firdous, Prof. M. Maqbool Dar, and Prof. Samina Sultana.
Highly interactive panel discussion, moderated by Prof. (Dr) Samiya Mufti, Organising Secretary, brought together leading experts to deliberate on practical strategies interdisciplinary approaches, and case-based scenarios, fostering dynamic exchange of ideas and enhancing learning.
Distinguished guests including former Heads of Department Prof. Farhat Jabeen, Prof. Nighat Firdous and Prof. Rizwana Habib, and senior faculty members from GMC Srinagar, SKIMS Medical College, and LD Hospital such as Prof. Ambreen Qureshi, Prof. Shylla Mir, Dr. Anjum Malik, Dr. Syed Naseer and Dr. Muzaffar Jan, Medical Superintendent LD hospital shared valuable insights into hospital-based and community-oriented management practices.
The CME witnessed active participation from postgraduate students, faculty, and medical professionals, making it a significant academic milestone in advancing care for patients experiencing recurrent pregnancy loss.
