Jammu, June 19: BJP State Spokesperson Dr. Tahir Chowdhary launched a sharp attack on J&K Congress President Tariq Hameed Karra for his remarks against the BJP, stating that such comments are a reflection of the frustration, insecurity, and political bankruptcy that have engulfed the Congress party after a decade of continuous rejection by the people of India.
Dr. Chowdhary said that Congress leaders have become restless as they are unable to digest the unprecedented popularity of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, the transformative governance of the BJP-led NDA Government, and the growing faith of the people in development-oriented politics.
“Congress, which once considered India its personal estate, is struggling to come to terms with the fact that the people have repeatedly rejected its politics of dynasty, corruption, appeasement, and entitlement. The party’s leadership continues to remain captive to one family, where merit takes a backseat and loyalty to the dynasty becomes the sole qualification,” he said.
Taking a dig at the Gandhi family-centric structure of Congress, Dr. Chowdhary said that the party has consistently prioritized the interests of a single family over the aspirations of the nation. “For decades, Congress promoted a culture where power revolved around one family while national interest often became secondary. Today, the party is paying the political price for that approach.”
He added that Congress has a long history of scandals, policy paralysis, and vote-bank politics, whereas the BJP under Prime Minister Narendra Modi has focused on transparency, accountability, infrastructure development, welfare delivery, national security, and inclusive growth.
Dr. Chowdhary said that Congress leaders respect democratic institutions only when electoral outcomes favour them. “Whenever Congress wins, democracy is celebrated; whenever it loses, institutions are questioned. This selective commitment to democratic values exposes the party’s double standards and political opportunism.”
“The reality is that Congress is facing an identity crisis. Instead of introspecting on the reasons behind its decline, it continues to indulge in rhetoric and misinformation. The people of India have moved beyond the politics of privilege and patronage and have embraced the politics of performance and accountability.”
Dr. Chowdhary asserted that while the BJP remains committed to the vision of ‘Nation First,’ Congress continues to remain trapped in the politics of dynasty, division, and self-preservation.
“The people of India have repeatedly chosen development over dynasty, performance over propaganda, and leadership over entitlement. No amount of baseless allegations can hide the Congress party’s failures or erase its history of putting political interests above national interests,” he added.
