DC Shopian finalizes arrangements for smooth Republic Day celebrations

SHOPIAN, JAN 20 : The Deputy Commissioner (DC) Shopian, Faz Lul Haseeb today chaired a meeting of officers, here to finalise the department wise arrangements to be put in place for ensuing Republic Day, 2024 celebrations.
The meeting held threadbare discussions on arrangements to be put in place at the venue including security, seating, transportation, illumination of buildings, refreshments, water and power supply, Public Address System, medicare facilities and other facilities.

The DC instructed the concerned to organise scintillating cultural programmes to mark the event with vibrancy along with an impactful presentation of March Past and called upon officers to put in place elaborate arrangements for smooth conduct of the function.
On the occasion, department wise responsibilities were finalised for adherence, and directed to ensure celebrations at sub divisional, tehsil and village levels and institutional levels besides the main district level function.
The DC called upon departments to make fool proof arrangements for Republic Day celebration and Full dress rehearsal especially heating and seating arrangements.
The meeting was attended by Additional Deputy Commissioner, Shopian, Dr. Zakir Hussain Faaz; ASP, Shopain, Naresh Kumar; Principal IMGDC, CPO, ACR, and other district officers and sectoral officers.
