DC Udhampur chairs District Valuation Committee Meeting

UDHAMPUR, NOV 22 : Deputy Commissioner Udhampur, Saloni Rai, held a meeting of District Valuation Committee to revise the Stamp duty rates for the year 2024.
The session, held at the Mini Conference Hall in the DC Office Complex Udhampur, focused on the preparation and revision of market values for stamp duty rates in District Udhampur.

During the meeting, Deputy Commissioner diligently reviewed the proposals submitted by the Sub Division level committees and directed ACR/SDMs chairman Sub Division level valuation committees to revisit the rates proposed on the basis of current market rates and registration of documents done during the the year 2023.
ACR Rafiq Ahmad Jaral provided the insights into the analysis of stamp duty rates, highlighting the area-wise percentage of enhancement of rates for the year 2024.
Deputy Commissioner instructed officers to re-evaluate the proposals, emphasizing the adherence to the laid-down criteria for rate fixation. Furthermore, she directed the concerned officers to undertake a comprehensive exercise in classifying the rate structure based on areas, ultimately finalizing the Stamp Duty rates for Udhampur District.
