DGP and Senior Police Officials Visit Bereaved Family of Inspector Shah Asrar-ul-Haq at Muqam-e-Shahwali, Kupwara

Kupwara, Nov 16: Senior police officers on Sunday visited the residence of late Inspector Shah Asrar-ul-Haq at Muqam-e-Shahwali, Drugmulla, to offer heartfelt condolences to the bereaved family. Inspector Asrar lost his life in the tragic accidental explosion at Nowgam Police Station on Friday night.

Director General of Police (DGP) J&K Nalin Prabhat, Special DG Coordination PHQ SJM Geelani, SSP Kupwara Tahir Geelani, and Additional SP Kupwara Javeed Ahmad were among the senior officers who met the family and expressed solidarity in their hour of profound grief. Several other officers from police and security forces also accompanied the delegation.

The visiting officials spent time with the family members, offered prayers for the departed soul, and assured all necessary support and assistance from the department. They remembered Inspector Asrar as a committed, upright, and compassionate officer who performed his duties with exceptional professionalism and dedication.

Notably, Inspector Shah Asrar-ul-Haq was among the nine individuals who lost their lives in the high-intensity accidental blast that occurred during the handling of seized explosive materials. Several other personnel were also injured in the incident, according to officials.
