Srinagar, 19-Feb; In compliance to the directions issued by the state drugs controller the team comprising of Drug Control Officers of Districts Ganderbal and Bandipora carried out extensive inspection drive in the twin districts.
Under the personal supervision of Assistant Drugs Controller Ganderbal/ Bandipora. 60 shops were inspected in Ganderbal district, Out of which licenses of 10 medical shops were suspended for non maintenance of records of habit forming drugs and violation of different provisions of the Drugs and Cosmetics Act 1940.Operations of 01 medical shop were disallowed for 02 days. In district Bandipora 20 shops were inspected, Out of which licenses of 03 medical shops were suspended for violation of different provisions of the Act.
It was observed that most of the shops in both the districts have installed CCTV cameras. It was further impressed upon all the stake holders to adopt digitalized billing system and to strict
