Eco Bharat’s Major Step Toward Road Safety: ₹20 Crore Agreement Signed with IFEVA

New Delhi: In a significant achievement aimed at curbing the rising number of road accidents in India and making the traffic system safer, Eco Bharat and the International Federation of Electric Vehicle Association (IFEVA) Green Energy Foundation have signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) worth ₹20 crore. This partnership focuses on promoting innovation and advanced technology in the field of road safety.

​IIT Delhi Witnesses the Historic Agreement

​The agreement was finalized on the evening of January 14th at the IIT Delhi auditorium during the felicitation ceremony of the IFEVA EV 100-Day Mega Rally (which recently set a world record).

​The MoU was signed by Sampat Saraswat Bamanwali, Founder of Eco Bharat, and Dr. Shailendra Saroj, Chairman of IFEVA. The ceremony took place in the presence of distinguished guests, including:

​Professor Sukumar Mishra, Director, IIT Dhanbad
​Dr. Sahil Kalal, Corporate Director, Eco Bharat

​Other notable attendees included officials from the Ministry of Road Transport and Highways, Delhi Police DCPs, and international experts in battery technology and carbon emissions.

​Key Highlights of the Agreement

​Investment: A dedicated fund of ₹20 crore has been allocated for this project.

​Technical Collaboration: Experts and researchers from IIT Delhi will provide technical guidance and mentorship.

​Primary Goal: To develop Smart Traffic Management and advanced vehicle safety systems.

​Duration: The funds will be utilized over the coming years to improve road safety infrastructure and enhance Data Analytics.

​During the event, experts highlighted that road accidents remain a grave concern for India. They noted that this MoU will not only promote technical integration but also open new avenues for startups and researchers.

​Sampat Saraswat Bamanwali, Founder of Eco Bharat, stated that this ₹20 crore investment is expected to significantly reduce road fatalities and accidents. He added that this initiative is an effective effort toward realizing Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s vision of ‘Digital India’ and ‘Surakshit Bharat’ (Safe India).
