Kolkata, June 10 : Engineering Export Promotion Council of India ( EEPC India) Chairman Arun Kumar Garodia on Monday extended congratulations to Prime Minister Narendra Modi for assuming the office for the third consecutive term.
“The third NDA government means that most of the ongoing economic reforms and infrastructure development would continue at an accelerated pace. The Indian economy is at the cusp of transformation. The ongoing growth momentum is set to continue and pick up further pace considering the favourable domestic conditions,” he said.
” The Prime Minister is set to steer the economy towards high growth to substantially enhance the Ease of Living. All high-frequency indicators suggest India is on a high growth trajectory and galloping towards becoming the third largest economy in the world in coming years.” Garodia said.
The EEPC India chairman stated that the Indian engineering goods sector is one of the key contributors to merchandise exports from the country and as manufacturing remains on top of the government’s agenda to push private investment and create more jobs, the sector is set to play a crucial role.
“In coming months and years, we see more and more free trade pacts with major trading partners and blocs materializing, which would further propel engineering exports,” he said.
