On this sacred and blessed occasion of Eid-ul-Adha the festival of sacrifice, submission to the Almighty, compassion and mercy I extend my heartfelt greetings, prayers and love to every family of our beloved Kashmir.
May Allah Subhanahu Wa Ta’ala accept your prayers, sacrifices and acts of kindness, and shower His infinite mercy, peace and blessings upon our land and its people. May every home be filled with light, hope, dignity, healing and spiritual strength.
Kashmir has for centuries been a land of saints, spirituality, brotherhood and shared civilization. The soul of Kashmir has always lived in its traditions of mutual respect, coexistence and compassion. On this holy Eid, let us pray that the wounds of the past are healed and that the spirit of humanity triumphs over hatred, fear and division.
On this blessed occasion, I humbly appeal to my Muslim brethren of Kashmir to open their hearts and once again embrace their Kashmiri Pandit brethren who were forced to leave their homeland in 1990. Let them return not as strangers, but as members of one shared Kashmiri family — with love, dignity, security and brotherhood.
The return of Kashmiri Pandits to their roots, temples, neighborhoods and memories shall not merely be a return of people, but the return of Kashmir’s composite soul and civilizational harmony.
May this Eid become a prayer for reconciliation, healing and a new beginning for all communities of Kashmir.
Wishing you and your loved ones peace, happiness, good health and countless blessings.
Eid Mubarak.
