Bandipora, Jan 5, 2026: A fire broke out at a poultry shed belonging to Mushtaq Ahmed Bakshi, a resident of Bakshi Mohalla, Chiwa, in Bandipora district on Monday. The incident resulted in the loss of poultry; however, prompt and timely action by locals and authorities prevented the fire from spreading to nearby residential structures.
In a separate incident, a fire erupted at the shop of Ishfaq Ahmad Sheikh, a resident of Chandrageer, reportedly due to a short circuit. Swift response ensured that the flames were brought under control without further damage.
As an immediate humanitarian measure, the Indian Army distributed essential ration to the affected families. The people of the area expressed heartfelt gratitude to the Indian Army for its timely assistance and support during the distress.
