GANDERBAL, 8TH, FEBRUARY 2026: In a continued drive against social evils and illegal activities, Ganderbal Police apprehended two persons involved in gambling at Narayan-Bagh in the jurisdiction of PP Shadipora.
The apprehended individuals have been identified as; Bilal Ahmad Malik S/O Mohd Ismail Malik R/O Gamwara, Wakura and Manzoor Ahmad Khan S/O Jalal-u-din Khan, R/O Narayan-Bagh.
During the operation, stake money amounting to Rs.3,370/- along with a deck of playing cards was recovered from the spot.
Accordingly, Case FIR No. 19/2026, under Section 13 of the Gambling Act has been registered at Police Station Ganderbal, and further investigation is underway.
Ganderbal Police reiterates its commitment to maintaining public order and urges citizens to cooperate with the police by reporting any illegal activities in their surroundings.
