Gandhi Memorial College, Srinagar organizes Orientation Programme for Fresh Batch

SRINAGAR, OCTOBER 14: Gandhi Memorial College, Srinagar, today organized an Orientation Programme for newly admitted first-semester students.

The event, held in the college auditorium, aimed to acquaint freshers with the institution’s academic environment and opportunities.

In his keynote address, the Principal, Prof. Aijaz Ahmad Hakak, emphasized the importance of intellectual curiosity and personal growth. He exhorted students to cultivate a spirit of inquiry and dedicate themselves wholeheartedly to the realization of their cherished goals.

Prof. Hakak stressed the significance of a well-rounded education, advising students to actively participate in extracurricular activities such as sports, debates, and cultural events alongside their academic pursuits.

Earlier, the programme commenced with a warm welcome address delivered by Prof. Ruhul Amin Simnani. He highlighted the college’s rich history and its commitment to academic excellence since its establishment in 1943.

The programme also featured an interactive session, during which students had the opportunity to voice their queries and offer suggestions. Topics discussed ranged from course selection and career guidance to available facilities and support services on campus.
