GDC Marh live telecast of PM’s imitative Viksit Bharat@2047

JAMMU, DEC 12 : Government Degree College Marh enthusiastically participated in the live telecast of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, initiative, “Viksit Bharat@2047: Voice of Youth under the guidance of college Principal Prof (Dr.).Rakesh Kumar Koul.
Addressing the participants, the Principal of the college emphasized the significance of the Prime Minister’s vision, which seeks the active engagement of the youth in shaping the nation’s plans, priorities, and goals. He stressed that students need to work hard and come with their innovative ideas to solve the problems of society.

The event was organized for faculty and students in the Conference Hall of the college where the live streaming of the formal launch of the Viksit Bharat @2047 by Prime Minister was witnessed.
After witnessing the launch of Viksit Bharat @2047 by Prime Minister, Narendra Modi, an interactive Session and panel discussion was also organized among the Principal, Faculty and students.
The post event Session was thrown open by the Principal of the College. He provided a holistic overview of the forthcoming journey of the country in attaining the feat of a developed nation by2047.He interacted with the students and responded to many questions ranging from the future of India vis a-vis new trends in technology, future of AI, need of skill – based courses. The problems of the rural areas such as solid waste management, its proper collection, transport, treatment and disposal was also discussed. Youth should come up with inventive ideas for major challenges such as waste management, cleaning of local water bodies which are a key aspect to achieve environmental sustainability and social progress.
Anjana Chib (HOD EVS) and Madhvi Parasher (HOD Botany) explained that the only solution of waste management is to reduce consumption and adopt a zero waste lifestyle.
A Viksit Bharat club was also formed by the students headed by Anjana Chib and Ravi Kumar PTI in which 55 students joined the group.
