SRINAGAR, SEPTEMBER 18: In a crucial step towards ensuring the smooth conduct of the upcoming J&K Legislative Assembly elections, Rajan Vishal, the General Observer for the 23-Channapora Assembly Constituency (AC), conducted a detailed review meeting, here.
The meeting was held at the office of the Returning Officer, 23-Channapora Assembly Constituency, and was attended by key officials including Suhail-Ul-lslam, Returning Officer; Kifayat Ali, Assistant Returning Officer, and all Assembly Constituency-level nodal officers.
The primary objective of the meeting was to assess and streamline various aspects of election preparedness to ensure a fair, transparent and efficient electoral process.
The discussion encompassed several critical areas including Electoral Photo Identity Cards (EPIC) Distribution, Accessible Voting Facilities (AMF), Booth Level Awareness Groups, Special Polling Stations, Appointment of Micro Observers, Flying Squads (FSTs) and Static Surveillance Teams (SSTs), Training of Polling Staff, Model Code of Conduct (MCC) Implementation and Electronic Voting Machines (EVMs) Commissioning.
The General Observer stressed the importance of thorough preparation and inter-agency coordination to address any potential challenges proactively. He underscored the commitment to delivering a free and fair election, with a focus on voter satisfaction and electoral integrity.
