Pulwama June 11: After more than three decades The Hawan at the Murran Brarimaj Temple Pulwama was held from the 10th to the 11th of June 2024 was a profound testament to the power of unity and spirituality. After a gap of more than three decades, the sacred fire was kindled once more, drawing the Baradari members from across the country back to their ancestral roots. The air was thick with anticipation as the evening sky welcomed the start of the hawan, which continued from 10th (Monday) to 11th of noon (Tuesday), enveloping the temple in a divine aura.
The Brarimaj Temple, nestled amidst serene surroundings, witnessed a confluence of devotion and community spirit. Baradari members, who had not seen each other in years, arrived with their families, their hearts full of reverence and joy. The hawan not only revived an ancient tradition but also rekindled the bonds that time had attempted to loosen. The sight of familiar faces, some aged with time and others unrecognizably grown, filled the atmosphere with warmth and nostalgia.
Adding to the sanctity of the occasion was the presence of numerous pandits from neighboring villages and the city. Their chants, imbued with years of wisdom and devotion, resonated through the temple grounds, elevating the spiritual experience for all attendees. The prasad, a sacred offering, was shared among the devotees, symbolizing the divine grace and blessings bestowed upon them.

Talking to Morning Kashmir Sunjay Pundita one of the organising member of this Event said that, the administration played a crucial role in the seamless execution of this grand event. With meticulous planning, they ensured the installation of tents and chairs, medical arrangements, and a robust security cover. Their efforts were instrumental in creating a comfortable and secure environment for all participants, for which the Baradari members expressed profound gratitude.
The local Muslim baradari and the youth of Murran extended a welcome that surpassed all expectations, infusing the gathering with an unprecedented warmth. Their efforts were indispensable, as they meticulously arranged every detail, from the thorough cleaning of the premises to enhancing the temple’s ambiance with an exquisite touch of beauty. These young souls embraced the responsibility of arranging accommodations, ensuring many families found a place to stay within the homes of their Muslim neighbors. In this act of unity, old relations were rejuvenated, and the sense of camaraderie was palpable. The welcome we received was nothing short of extraordinary.
Adding to the vibrancy of the occasion, a local musical group performed an array of bhajans, infusing the Hawan with an even richer tapestry of color and sound. As their melodies soared, the atmosphere became profoundly divine, enveloping everyone present in a sense of spiritual bliss.A particularly poignant moment unfolded when the local Awqaf committee of Babahaji Mosque orchestrated a reunion of Muslim and Hindu brethren within the mosque’s serene premises over a simple cup of tea. Members from both communities gathered in large numbers, and the air was thick with emotion as they reminisced about the days gone by, days filled with shared experiences and deep-rooted bonds. The scene was one of heartfelt reunions, a powerful testament to the enduring strength of their shared history.
