Jammu, January 20:  Hima Kaul Kalanidhi, organized a theatrical performance commemorating the 35th year of Kashmiri Pandit Exodus, this performance was based on a widely acclaimed short story entitled ’19 january ke baad’ written by eminent author Kshama Kaul.

eThis story narrates the saga of a genocide survivor, Ramesh Marhatta, a famed news broadcaster, who was abducted by Jehadi terrorists in 1990 and was subjected to enormous torture and persecution. Besides other dimensions of subversion and intimidation the story also unfolds the eco-system of terrorists that was active during the early 1990s in the valley. The harrowing saga of Ramesh’s ordeal, takes many a twist leading ultimately to his providential escape from the clutches of Jehadi terrorists. This dramatic recitation was brilliantly performed by noted theatrist and film actor Sunil Soni,

along with eminent artists of the region Soham Kashyap and Nazuk Bhagat, and directed by noted theatre and film actress Bhasha Sumbli. The key highlight of the event was the felicitation of Sh.

Ramesh Maratha, the hero of the story, by Kshama Kaul, the author, amidst a standing ovation by the audience, comprising many eminent writers, artists, and intellectuals.The event was anchored by Sahil Bazaz and the music was operated by Sahoul Dutt.
