Honours for sports journalists at IPL Wall of Fame inauguration in Jammu

Jammu, Mar 22 To celebrate the success of Jammu and Kashmir’s cricketing heroes who are part of various teams in the 17th edition of the Indian Premier League, Jammu’s Hotel Radisson Blu inaugurated the IPL Wall of Fame in the hotel premises on Friday.

Special guest, Member Sports Council and ace Sports Administrator, Ranjeet Kalra along with eminent Journalist Ahmed Ali Fayaz, Pradeep Dutta, Senior Editor Times Now and Media Manager JKCA, Rajesh Dhar as guests of honour, unveiled the portraits of IPL stars of J&K including the pace sensation Umran Malik, explosive batter Abdul Samad, bowling all-rounder Yudhvir Singh Charak, swing bowler Rasikh Salam and left-arm spinning all-rounder Abid Mushtaq.
Eminent Sports Journalists of various publications including Sudhir Kumar, Sanjeev Sharma, Vikas Abrol, Kirti Dhar, Ranjit Thakur and Akash Raj were honoured by the organisers for their outstanding contribution in promoting sportspersons, personalities, and various sports related concerns.
Kalra, speaking on occasion, expressed gratitude to Propertier Radission Blu, Bhupesh Gupta, and his team for their novel initiative to celebrate the success and journey of our J&K’s IPL stars.
“Apart from the Wall of Fame, the organisers have installed a small cricket arena which will be there throughout the IPL season to enthuse cricket lovers. Moreover, the registered players of JKCA will be given a 20 percent discount on all foods and beverages throughout the IPL season,” said Vikas Kohli F&B manager Radisson Blu. (UNI)
