If Omar Abdullah Does Not Apologise Within Seven Days We Will File a Defamation Suit

BJP Spokesperson Manzoor Bhat said the BJP has served a legal notice to Chief Minister Omar Abdullah over his baseless and defamatory remarks. If he fails to issue an unconditional public apology within seven days, we will be left with no option but to initiate a defamation suit.

Omar Abdullah recently alleged that BJP leaders had offered ₹20–30 crore to an NC MLA in an attempt to topple the government. Such a serious allegation cannot be made without credible evidence. If he possesses proof, he should place it before the public and the appropriate authorities. If he cannot substantiate his claim, he must withdraw his statement and apologise.

As the Chief Minister of Jammu & Kashmir, he is expected to act responsibly and speak on the basis of facts, not make reckless and unsubstantiated allegations. Public discourse must be guided by truth, accountability, and constitutional decorum. We urge Omar Abdullah to withdraw his false statements and apologise instead of misleading the people of Jammu & Kashmir.
