Pattan, October 28: In a significant initiative aimed at empowering young people and exploring new opportunities for their future, the Indian Army on Tuesday launched the two-day North Kashmir Youth Conclave 2026 at SSM College of Engineering, Parihaspora, Pattan, under Operation Sadbhavana.

Held under the theme “Nayi Soch, Nayi Disha, Naya Kashmir,” the conclave aims to encourage youth to adopt a forward-looking approach, explore diverse career pathways, enhance their employability skills and contribute meaningfully to the socio-economic development of Jammu and Kashmir.

The two-day event will bring together students, youth representatives, academicians, professionals and distinguished speakers on a common platform to promote constructive dialogue on education, skill development, entrepreneurship, innovation, career opportunities and nation-building.

A key component of the initiative is the job fair, which seeks to familiarise young participants with employment opportunities and help them explore potential career avenues in different sectors.

The conclave reflects the importance of providing young people with the right guidance, skills and exposure to help them make informed career choices and become active contributors to the region’s progress.

Through Operation Sadbhavana, the Indian Army continues to support youth-oriented initiatives aimed at creating opportunities for learning, personal growth and professional development, while fostering aspirations for a progressive, peaceful and prosperous Jammu and Kashmir.
