Lolab, 24 Jan 2026: In a swift humanitarian operation, the Indian Army carried out an emergency medical evacuation in the snow-hit Warnow area of Lolab in North Kashmir’s Kupwara district, providing lifesaving assistance to a critically ill woman.
The 27-year-old woman, who had recently delivered a baby, was evacuated from her remote village and safely shifted to the Government Sub-District Hospital, Sogam, for advanced medical treatment.

Braving heavy snowfall and treacherous terrain, Army personnel reached the patient’s residence and administered immediate medical aid before transporting her to the hospital. Their timely response proved crucial in stabilizing her condition and ensuring urgent care.
