Jaan Nissar Lone: A Musical Luminary on the Global Stage

SRINAGAR, FEB 02: In the realm of international music, Jaan Nissar Lone emerges as a prolific figure, recognized for his roles as a Bollywood music composer, Music Director, singer, and the visionary founder of the esteemed ARMS RECORD LABEL, also known as AR Music Studios.
Lone’s stellar career has garnered numerous accolades on both national and international fronts, including the KL Sehgal National Award, Dadasaheb Phalke for Best Composer, Ambassador of Peace by the Universal Peace Federation, and the Global Humanitarian Award from World Humanitarian Drive in the UK. His exceptional contributions were recently acknowledged with an honorary doctorate from the international Eurasian University of Moscow.
As the first Bollywood music composer from Kashmir, Jaan Nissar Lone has propelled Kashmiri music onto the global stage. His composition “Harmukh Bartal” found a place in the popular Indian web series “The Family Man,” starring Manoj Bajpai, highlighting the universal appeal of Kashmiri musical heritage.
One of Lone’s notable tracks, “Rubaru,” from the film “Ginny Weds Sunny,” starring Vikrant Messy and Yami Gautam, not only earned a nomination at the Mirchi Music Awards but also resonated with audiences worldwide.
Jaan Nissar Lone commenced his Bollywood journey in 2009, showcasing expertise in music production, piano, guitar, and the authentic Kashmiri instrument Rabab.
A versatile singer, Lone has lent his voice to both Hindi and Kashmiri songs, receiving acclaim from legends like Asha Bhosle to the current generation of singers. His recent project, the song “Dilbaro – The Portrait Of Love,” filmed in Yerevan, Armenia, seamlessly fuses Kashmiri folk with Punjabi Hindi lyrics, showcasing the richness of Kashmiri culture on the global stage.
Dedicated to promoting global harmony through his art, Lone directed the peace anthem “Asia & Africa – Together we will Rise and Transcend,” featuring artists from around the world. His commitment to fostering peace echoes through his diverse musical endeavors.
With a repertoire of super-hit songs in Kashmir, including “Peer Myanio,” “Harmukh Bartal,” “Khodaya,” and more, Jaan Nissar Lone continues to captivate audiences. Currently filming a Hindi song in Moscow, he has been appointed the global president of BCMF – BRICS CULTURE MEDIA FORUM 2024. Lone is set to organize a significant event in Grozny, Chechnya, Russia, uniting artists in the promotion of global art and culture.
