J&K BJP fetes Valley workers for PM’s successful Visit

Srinagar, Mar 23: The Jammu and Kashmir unit of Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) on Saturday felicitated the party workers from the Valley for making the recent visit of Prime Minister Narendra Modi successful.
Party insiders told Morning Kashmir that the BJP General Secretary (Organization), Ashok Koul felicitated 50 members of the party today at party headquarters in Jawahar Nagar.

They said the party’s J&K unit had received directions from the top leadership concerning felicitating the workers. “At least 50 party members headed by Altaf Thakur were felicitated today,” they said.
The members have been felicitated for decorating the roads, venue and making all the arrangements, which ensured the successful rally of Prime Minister Narendra Modi on March 07.
Party insiders further stated that the top leadership had praised the arrangements made by the Kashmir-based members and later directed the J&K unit to appreciate the good work.
Ashok Koul said that the party workers have been felicitated today for making special arrangements at the venue and outside as well. “Today, we felicitated them for their tremendous work. Such rallies will undoubtedly strengthen the party at the grassroots level and will continue to take place in the Valley in future,” he said.
On March 07, PM Modi addressed a mammoth gathering at Bakshi Stadium, Srinagar where he praised the beauty of Kashmir and stated that his mission was to win the hearts of Kashmiri people and that he has succeeded in his efforts.
The Prime Minister also said that every time he came to Kashmir, his priority was to win the hearts and minds of people here. “Today, after seeing you (crowd), I can say that I have succeeded in winning the hearts of the Kashmiri people. But I won’t stop here, my efforts will continue to win people’s hearts…,” PM Modi said.
Notably, it was the first visit of PM Modi to Srinagar after the abrogation of Article 370 on August 05, 2019.
