Jammu / Cannes, May 30, 2026 – Proud son of Jammu and Kashmir, internationally acclaimed filmmaker and producer Tariq Khan, originally from J&K and based in Mumbai, has brought immense pride and glory to the region with the prestigious world premiere of his latest feature film Bombay Story featuring Mouni Roy at the Cannes Film Festival.
Inspired by the powerful literary works of legendary Urdu writer Saadat Hasan Manto, the film beautifully captures raw human emotions, social realities, and the vibrant spirit of Mumbai. Bombay Story received a tremendous response from the international audience and was screened to a packed theatre at Cannes.
The film stars a powerful ensemble cast including Mouni Roy, Anupria Goenka, Rahat Shah, Kasmi, Shoaib Nikash Shah, and others, who have delivered outstanding performances.
