KISHTWAR, FEBRUARY 11: The District Administration Kishtwar, in collaboration with the Department of Information and Public Relations (DIPR) Kishtwar, GDC Kishtwar and NIC Kishtwar today organized special events to mark Safer Internet Day at Kishtwar.
The events were held under the close supervision of DC Kishtwar, Rajesh Kumar Shavan which aimed to raise awareness about online safety, responsible digital behavior, and the importance of cybersecurity in today’s digital era.
In one instance, the District Administration Kishtwar, in collaboration with the National Informatics Centre (NIC) Kishtwar, conducted a training-cum-awareness session at the Conference Hall, New DC Office Complex, Kishtwar which aimed to promote digital security, responsible online behavior, and cyber awareness.
ACR Kishtwar, who was the chief guest on the occasion, emphasized that the internet plays a crucial role in education, communication, and professional development in today’s world. However, with the rising issues of cyberbullying, online fraud, privacy violations, and misinformation, it has become essential to educate people on safe and responsible internet usage.
He also mentioned that Safer Internet Day is observed every year on the second Tuesday of February. The purpose of this day is to raise awareness about cyber safety, online ethics, and digital citizenship among students, parents, and teachers.
In another event at GDC Kishtwar, the program witnessed the participation of students, faculty members, and officials from the administration, who engaged in insightful discussions on the challenges and risks associated with internet usage.
The event was conducted under the able guidance of DIPR Kishtwar in collaboration with GDC Kishtwar was appreciated by participants.
