Srinagar, Jul 27: The Kashmir Power Distribution Corporation Limited (KPDCL) is actively promoting the installation of grid-connected solar rooftop systems through the Pradhan Mantri Surya Ghar scheme.
This initiative is designed to help residents cut down on their electricity expenses, advance sustainable energy practices, and take advantage of attractive government subsidies.
As per news agency KNS the PM Surya Ghar initiative is a component of the national renewable energy mission, aimed at boosting solar energy use across the country. Under this scheme, homeowners can apply online through authorized solar vendors to have solar panels installed on their rooftops.
This setup enables them to generate their own electricity and feed any excess power back into the grid. process: “We’ve made it easier for residents to apply online via our network of accredited solar vendors.
