MSME-DFO, Jammu Organised Entrepreneurship Awareness Program at Govt. ITI,Banihal.

Banihal, February 9, 2026: An Entrepreneurship Awareness Programme (EAP) was
successfully organized at Conference Hall, Govt. ITI, Banihal, District Ramban,, with the objective of sensitizing participants and youth about self-employment opportunities and various entrepreneurship support schemes of the Government.

The programme was organized under the aegis of the Ministry of MSME, Government of India, under the guidance of Sh. A.K. Tamaria, Joint Director, MSME-DFO, Jammu, and the Deputy Commissioner, Ramban.
The programme included addresses by Rajesh Kumar, Assistant Director, MSME-DFO,
Jammu; Sh. Swaroop Katwal, Functional Manager, District Industries Centre (DIC), Ramban; Sh. Parvez Iqbal, Superintendent, ITI Banihal; District Nodal Officer, JKEDI, Ramban; Sh. Harvinder Singh, Director, RSETI, Ramban; and officials from the banking sector.

The resource persons briefed the participants on the objectives of the Entrepreneurship Awareness Programme, flagship MSME schemes, industrial
incentives, skill development initiatives, entrepreneurship training, handholding
support mechanisms, and availability of institutional finance for setting up micro and
small enterprises.
An interactive question–answer session was held during which participants raised queries related to training, finance, and enterprise establishment. The programme witnessed active participation from around 130 participants, and was appreciated for
providing practical insights into entrepreneurship and self-employment avenues.
The programme concluded with a vote of thanks by Abid Hussain, Young Professional, Ministry of MSME, Government of India.
