The controversy surrounding the Staff Selection Commission (SSC) examinations has once again gained momentum as the defamation case involving YouTuber and educator Nitish Rajput continues in a Delhi court. Eduquity Technologies Pvt. Ltd., the agency responsible for conducting several SSC exams, has filed a ₹2.5 crore lawsuit alleging that Rajput’s investigative video contained misleading claims that harmed its reputation. In his video, Rajput questioned the transparency of tender procedures and vendor appointments, citing RTI replies and official records to highlight administrative shortcomings.
Despite the ongoing legal proceedings, Rajput has refused to withdraw his content, maintaining that his analysis is based on verified public documents. His stand has received strong support from thousands of government job aspirants who have repeatedly faced technical failures, delayed schedules, and mismanaged examination centers. Through social media campaigns and student forums, supporters argue that the issue reflects deeper systemic flaws within the SSC’s recruitment process rather than a personal dispute.
As the case remains unresolved, several aspirant groups and civil organizations are now calling for Supreme Court intervention to ensure transparency and accountability in the examination system.
