Omar alleges Delhi plotting to ‘Defeat Them’, vows to fight B, C, D teams

Srinagar, Mar 20: National Conference (NC) Vice President on Wednesday said that Delhi is using every effort to defeat them and that they are ready to fight against B, C or D Teams in the upcoming elections in Jammu and Kashmir.
Omar was reacting to the reports about the possible pre-poll alliance between some parties, whose leadership have started confabulations for a joint fight in the parliamentary elections.

Some of the political parties including a few newly formed have started confabulations to fight the upcoming polls jointly. As already reported by Morning Kashmir, Ghulam Nabi Azad, Syed Altaf Bukhari and Sajad Gani Lone have started discussing the issue and the talks are going on. The parties have admitted that the talks with like-minded parties are going and any decision for a joint fight in the Lok Sabha elections will be made public soon.
“NC is not for the first time witnessing such a situation when people are joining hands to defeat us. We have witnessed it in the past as well. Whoever wants to join hands this time, be it B team, C team or D team, should go ahead,” he said, adding that they are ready for these tests and elections as well and hope the people’s support will remain with the party.
“No election is easy for the political parties. This time, Delhi is putting every effort to defeat us while in the past elections; NC was at the target of the militants. We have fought the elections in difficult situations and we have never taken any elections lightly,” he said and hoped that the success will be achieved by the party.
However, he remained tight-lipped over the issue of party’s agenda in the upcoming polls.
