PDP has joined as ‘C’ team of BJP, accuses Omar

Srinagar, Apr 23: National Conference (NC) Vice President and party’s candidate from Baramulla Lok Sabha seat, Omar Abdullah on Tuesday has leveled allegations against the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), terming the party as the ‘C’ team of Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP).
Talking to reporters in Kokernag after addressing a gathering, Omar stated that PDP is the ‘C’ team of BJP as the BJP leader Syed Mushtaq Bukhari has openly asked people to support PDP in the parliamentary elections in the Valley.
“There is no doubt that Mehbooba Mufti will ask BJP to put pressure on Syed Mushtaq Bukhari to change his statement, but the things have got cleared before all,” he said, adding that after A & B teams, now PDP has joined as C team of BJP.
“If people want to defeat the powers that are hell-bent on dividing people, then they should vote in favour of INDI Alliance candidates—NC candidates from Kashmir and Congress candidates from Jammu,” he said.
Asked about BJP announcing a candidate from Ladakh Lok Sabha seat, he stated that he is not concerned about other parties, but wants Congress to come up with a strong candidate from the constituency where both the parties are fighting together. “The name of a strong candidate should be announced from Congress so that no room is given to BJP for winning the elections from the constituency,” he added.
Furthermore, he asked people to vote on May 7 and ensure the win of NC candidate Mian Altaf, who according to him will represent the people in the parliament in a good way.
