Varanasi, April 11: During his visit to Varanasi on Friday, Prime Minister Narendra Modi expressed deep concern over the recent gang-rape incident involving a 19-year-old girl and took a strong stance on the matter. Upon arriving at Varanasi airport, the Prime Minister immediately sought a detailed briefing from the Police Commissioner, Divisional Commissioner, and District Magistrate.
PM Modi directed officials to identify all those involved in the heinous crime and ensure the strictest possible action against them. He also emphasized the need for robust and effective measures to prevent such incidents in the future.The case involves the alleged gang rape of a 19-year-old woman, with FIRs filed against 12 named and 11 unidentified individuals. So far, nine accused have been arrested, while the search for the remaining suspects continues.
