Pulwama Boy Faisal Mushtaq Wins Silver in 18th Floorball National Championship

Pulwama 04-08-2024:- Faisal Mushtaq, a young athlete from Qasba Yaar, Pulwama, has made Jammu and Kashmir proud by winning a silver medal in the 18th Floorball National Championship held at Rohtak, Haryana.

Faisal’s remarkable achievement was made possible by the support of Pulwama Police, who sponsored his participation in the championship. Expressing his gratitude, Faisal said, “I am thankful to the J&K Floorball Association for providing me with a platform to showcase my skills and to SSP Pulwama, IPS P. D Nitya Ma’am for her unwavering support and encouragement.”

Faisal is now gearing up for his next challenge – the upcoming Asian Indoor Martial Arts Games, scheduled to be held in Chonburi, Thailand by the end of this year. He is working hard to improve his skills and make a mark on the international stage. “I am focused on putting in my best effort and making India proud at the Asian Indoor Martial Arts Games,” Faisal said.

Looking ahead, Faisal has set his sights on the ultimate goal – representing India at the 2028 Los Angeles Olympics. “My dream is to stand on the podium and hear the national anthem play at the Olympics. I am willing to put in the hard work and dedication required to make this dream a reality,” Faisal said.

With his dedication and passion for the sport, Faisal is sure to inspire many young athletes from Jammu and Kashmir to take up floorball and strive for excellence.
