Radhakund: Holy dip at midnight for Ahoi Ashtami child blessings.

Mathura, October 13 – Lakhs of devotees are expected to take a holy ritualistic dip in Radhakund in Goverdhan at midnight today on Ahoi Ashtami in expectation of being blessed with a child.
It is believed that Lord Krishna blessed Radhaji that those couples who will bathe in Radha Kund on the Midnight of Ahoi Asthmi will be blessed with a child, Practicing Lawyer and Sewayat Dhanghati Temple Pawan Kaushik said.

When Lord Krishna returned after killing the demon Arishtasur( giant Bull), Radhaji put a condition that he had to take a dip in the holy water of the 7 pilgrimage sites to get rid of the evil of killing someone from a cow family, he added. Lord Krishna dug a pool filled with water from 7 pilgrimage sites, took a dip and asked Radhaji to do the same, Pawan Kaushik said.
Radhaji dug a pool from her bangle, and Lord Krishna joined the pool with his pool to let her also bathe in holy water from 7 pilgrimage sites, he added.
Briefings about arrangements, District Magistrate Chandra Prakash Singh said adequate police personnel and officers are deployed to ensure the safety of devotees. “Devotees staying in Radhakund for the Kartik month Rituals are advised to take a dip in Holy Radhakund after 3 am, as a measure to control the crowd.” Barriers are also in place to control the flow of devotees into the Radhakund area, DM added.
The entire Radha Kund is divided into 4 super zones, 12 zones, and 30 sectors to maintain order in the area. PAC and divers are also put on duty as safety measures, said SSP Shlok Kumar. Adequate parking areas and a traffic diversion plan are in place to maintain congestion-free movement of traffic. He added.
