Rashami Desai Shines in ‘JNU’ with Stellar Performance

Mumbai, June 28 : Rashami Desai is one actress who truly defines and signifies hard work in the true sense of the term. The diva is a self-made artiste who’s achieved everything in today’s time based on her own hard work and merit and no wonder, she deserves every bit of it and for all the right reasons. Well, talking about her new project readers, for the longest time, there was a great element of curiosity in terms of how she’s going to perform in her film ‘JNU’. Well, guess what readers? The cat is finally out of the bag and as expected, Rashami Desai is winning hearts everywhere for her portrayal in the film.
Rashami Desai’s character in the film is based on the life of a writer and professor of JNU, Nivedita Menon. Given the fact that this was a character based from real life, it had its own challenges. However, Rashami’s supremacy was established quite well and in such a way that she not only dominated the screen with her incredible work but also she ensured that she didn’t appear caricaturish. Everything, right from her expressions to the way she’s done her dialogue delivery and has got into the skin of the character is being praised widely and we aren’t surprised. Reacting to all the love and appreciation that’s coming Rashami’s way, the actress said and we quote,

“Well, playing real-life characters are always a challenge as the audience always has a recollection point but I was up for the challenge. I tried to use all my experience and understanding ability as an actress to deliver as per the expectations and today, when the project is finally out and I am receiving a lot of love, it feels like a circle has been completed. For me, I tried my best to focus on the character that I needed to bring alive on-screen without judging her life or how things have been for her at her end. The director is always the captain of the ship for me and hence, it was important that I stood tall to the expectations and the belief that I could bring this character alive on-screen. Extremely thankful to everyone who have shown love towards my character and all this appreciation motivates me further to continue the good work. Thanks a lot.”
