Final list of candidates from Kashmir in few days: Ashok Koul 

Srinagar, Mar 25: Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) on Monday said that the party is expecting to emerge victorious from all the five parliamentary seats of Jammu & Kashmir.

Ashok Koul, BJP General Secretary (Organization) told Morning Kashmir over phone that the preparations have already been started for the upcoming elections in the Union Territory.
He added that already two candidates for twin seats of Jammu division have been announced by the party while the list of candidates has been sent to the party high command.
“It is expected that the final candidates will be made public in next few days,” Koul said, adding that the party at present has fully geared up to make adequate preparations for the polls.
“As the first rally in both Jammu and Kashmir divisions have been kick-started by Prime Minister Narendra Modi recently, now the party is preparing to hold rallies and public meetings from April 01,” Koul said.
Koul also said that the preparations are in full swing and the party is expecting to bag all the five Lok Sabha seats from Jammu & Kashmir in the upcoming elections.
Pertinently, the 18th Lok Sabha polls are scheduled to commence from April 19. The Election Commission of India (ECI) has announced seven-phased parliamentary polls from April 19 while the counting of votes will be done on June 04, 2024.
Jammu & Kashmir will go for the polls in five phases. As per the schedule, the Udhampur Lok Sabha seat will go to polls on April 19, Jammu on April 26, Anantnag-Rajouri on May 07, Srinagar on May 13 and Baramulla on May 20.
