Actress Saiee M Manjrekar, who has steadily carved a space for herself across industries, is currently basking in the experience of being part of the much-anticipated pan-India period drama The India House. Produced by power house Ram Charan as debut production, the film is being made simultaneously in Hindi and Telugu, marking Saiee’s second project after Major to be shot in both languages at the same time.
Having previously worked in both Hindi and Telugu cinema, Saiee says The India House feels like a natural yet deeply enriching progression in her journey. The film, mounted on a grand scale, explores a powerful period narrative, with Saiee stepping into the role of Sati, an important character that adds emotional depth to the story.
She further adds, “Having done Major earlier, which was also made in Telugu and Hindi, I felt a certain sense of familiarity with the process. But every film teaches you something new. With The India House, the setting is rooted in a specific period, and the emotions are intense and layered. Playing Sati required me to understand not just the character, but also the era she belongs to: her strength, her vulnerability, and the silent resilience that defines her.”
She concludes by expressing gratitude for the opportunity, “I feel very grateful to be trusted with a character like Sati in a film as ambitious as The India House. Opportunities like these don’t come often, and being able to work seamlessly across industries makes me feel that I’m growing not just as an actor, but as a storyteller. I hope audiences connect with the film and with Sati’s journey as deeply as I have while portraying her.”
With The India House shaping up to be a significant pan-India release, Saiee M Manjrekar’s role is eagerly awaited, as she continues to strengthen her presence across Hindi and Telugu cinema with meaningful and challenging projects.
