Abrogation of Article 370 and 35 A benefitted people across societies: Vibodh
Srinagar, Dec 11 : BJP J&K General Secretary and former MLC Vibodh Gupta on Monday said that Justice has been delivered to the People of Jammu, Kashmir & Ladakh as the Supreme Court upholds the abrogation of Article 370 and Article 35A in Jammu, Kashmir and Ladakh as constitutionally valid. He said this while addressing a public gathering in Nagoon Block, Doongi and asserted that the nullification of Articles 370 and 35A of the Constitution five years ago has transformed Jammu and Kashmir, bringing about a substantial and far-reaching changes in the lives of its people.
Vibodh strongly asserted that since 2019 there has been no shutdowns in the Kashmir Valley, and with the situation getting better, the Union Territory has hosted national and international events which have further contributed towards making J&K as the tourism capital of the world.
Vibodh also highlighted the benefits that abrogation of articles 370 and 35A bestowed on different sections of society whether STs, women, OBCs, PoJK displaced people, Valmiki samaj, Gorkha Samaj, West Pakistan Refugees etc. in Jammu and Kashmir and Ladakh and said that the Modi government has renewed hope of peace and prosperity among the people of J&K. He maintained that the ST’s of J&K are the prominent beneficiary of abrogation of Article 370 and 35A and has been empowered by the Modi government through political reservation.
“Since 5 Aug 2019 more than one lakh people, who migrated from West Pakistan to Jammu in 1947, are being granted full citizenship and domicile rights, including ownership rights for property, the right to vote, and eligibility for government jobs,” Vibodh said.
Vibodh also emphasised that the abrogation of Article 370 and 35A has brought a pandora of opportunities for the youth of Jammu, Kashmir and Ladakh in the fields of startups, industries, tourism, sports, agriculture and its allied sectors. He said that at present some of the country’s leading startups are based in J&K while thousands of jobs have been opened up in the private sector. The youth of the Union Territory have become Job Creator rather than Job seekers with the magical revolution that the people of J&K witnessed post abrogation of article 370 and 35A.
