Dehradun I Thursday, 25 Jun 2026: The Skyriders team, comprising Dehradun based veterans Colonel RS Sidhu of the Mechanized Infantry Regiment and Captain NS Bisht of the 8 Gorkha Rifles Regiment – successfully completed their spectacular motorcycle expedition in Ladakh today. They set a national record by traversing the highest mountain passes at altitudes exceeding 5,000 meters.
Spanning 10 days and 3,100 km, the journey from Dehradun through Mamun, Srinagar, Leh, Patsio and Zirakpur, with 5 days and 1,400 km in the extreme Ladakh sector alone, stood as a powerful testament to resilience, planning and unwavering determination.
The expedition, undertaken under the theme “Shakti se Samarthya”, reflects the enduring spirit of Indian veterans – bold in vision, disciplined in execution, and steadfast in service to the nation.
