After winning the toss, the Sopore Police Cricket Team decided to field first. Soin Cricket Club set a challenging target of 137 runs in 18 overs. In response, the Sopore Police Cricket Team began their chase aggressively, dominating the powerplay. However, despite a strong effort, they fell short by 25 runs, ending their innings at 112 runs.
The chief guest for the event, SP Sopore Smt. Divya D-IPS, commended the youth for their active participation in sports and called for greater collaboration between the police and the community to tackle social issues, such as drug abuse, and promote a healthier society.The event received widespread appreciation from the public, who praised the Sopore Police for organizing such initiatives, helping to foster a positive image of the department.
The exhibition match was deemed a resounding success, reinforcing the police’s commitment to engaging with the community through sports and further promoting a positive relationship between the public and the department. The Sopore Police have pledged to continue organizing similar events to encourage sports and community engagement.
