Jmu, Apr 01 : Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) Jammu, Dr. Vinod Kumar, led a crucial meeting at the District Police Line (DPL) in Jammu to address preparations for the upcoming Lok Sabha elections. The gathering, attended by Zonal SPs, operational SPs, and other key officers, focused on ensuring a safe and conducive environment for voters to exercise their democratic rights.
According to the news agency—Kashmir News Observer (KNO) during the meeting, various security measures were discussed to maintain law and order and ensure peace and stability in the district. Emphasis was placed on quality investigation of cases, crime disposal, and addressing social crimes effectively. SSP Jammu underscored the importance of both quantitative and qualitative case disposal and urged officers to take strict action against those involved in criminal activities. Additionally, preparations for the parliamentary elections were thoroughly reviewed, covering coordination and deployment of security personnel, implementation of stringent security protocols, and collaboration with relevant authorities to address emerging security challenges.

Furthermore, officers were directed to provide exemplary policing services to the public, adopt a zero-tolerance approach towards corruption and crime, and uphold discipline at all levels of operation—(KNO)
